Mesh was engaged by Central Goldfields Shire to explore options for upgrading the netball facilities at Princes Park in Maryborough, assessing alternative locations and designs to meet community and council needs.
Mesh conducted a thorough review of the existing OS masterplan and determined that the originally proposed location for the netball facilities was unfeasible due to TPZ (Tree Protection Zone) encroachment. In response, a new site was identified, and an extensive option-testing exercise was completed. This exercise explored multiple designs aligned with Australian netball standards, tailored to address the diverse requirements specified by the council. The resulting design options will now serve as a basis for community engagement led by the council.
