Banyule City Council
Completed
Landscape Architecture
Extending on from the Public Realm Framework, Banyule City Council approached Mesh to assist in developing a concept design for future permanent parklets that may be installed across the municipality in high activity areas. This was to aid in promoting and providing opportunities for more outdoor dining, seating and/or temporary entertainment and events across Banyule.
Drawing on the guiding principles developed in the Banyule Public Realm Framework for parklets, establishing the constraints and considerations surrounding parklet design and understanding Council’s ambitions for these parklets, Mesh was able to develop a modular and flexible Parklet Toolkit and provide example scenarios that demonstrated and allowed for various configurations to ensure some flexibility and adaptability across different site conditions.
