Maria is an Economist and Urban Planner with a background in both the public and private sectors in Victoria and Tasmania.

Maria has a strong understanding of planning systems and project management enabling the successful delivery of development approvals and strategic projects.

Her experience in statutory planning enables her to ensure strategies and plans have a realistic implementation pathway. She values the importance of effectively ‘translating’ strategies into robust planning policy and guidelines that have a meaningful impact on development outcomes.

She navigates the challenges and opportunities posed by growth pressures through the lenses of both urban planning and urban economics.
